'A Little Bit About Me'
|
I am married and a mother of a 10 year old daughter and 7 year old
son. I grew up in Chapel Hill, NC, and now live in bustling but
still relaxed Hillsborough. I have always loved working with my
hands, and a few years ago started designing jewelry. After
discovering the limitless possibilities in designs and materials, I
was hooked. Encouraged by my wonderful family and some very good
friends, I launched English Hill Designs in 2007 to provide a focus
for my work.
I enjoy conceptualizing pieces of jewelry in beautiful or
interesting designs, and I spend a lot of time trying various forms
and combinations of materials. I use only the finest quality semi
precious stones, crystals, Czech glass, and pearl beads, with only
sterling silver structural components. All of my pieces are created
with a dedication to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

All of my awareness pieces are special to me, but my ovarian cancer
bracelet is especially close to my heart. My Mother was diagnosed
with ovarian cancer back in 1994. Thank goodness she is a survivor!
I want to do all I can to heighten awareness of this particular
cancer and help in its cure.
I am committed to giving back to the community. I have donated
jewelry to be raffled in support of the Relay for Life in Durham and
Orange Counties, as well as the Family Violence Prevention Center of
Orange County and will continue to use my work in support of schools
and other good causes.
